Ability to Duplicate Timeslips?
Duplicate Timeslips: Would like to be able to copy a timeslip and then just edit the details. Often I work on several similar projects at a time (e.g. book cover series). Each one gets tracked separately, but I'm often doing the same task that applies to all (e.g. stock photography research). Would be easier just hit a duplicate entry button rather than create a new entry and retype each time.

Inappropriate?Hi Shea,
I think we'll actual tackle your problem at the task level by having "global" tasks that are accessible across all projects.
We're thinking about how to improve time/task management in general and this will be part of that update.
Would that work for you? -
Inappropriate?Hello Roan,
Actually, that wouldn't solve my problem at all.
Love the idea of global tasks, but that wasn't what I was talking about.
I want to duplicate entire timeslips.
Lets say I am working on 3 book covers (Proj. #1, Proj. #2, Proj. #3), and I spend an hour looking for stock images for them. I want to divide the time among the three jobs. So, I create a timeslip, select Proj. #1, select the task "research" , type in :20 into the time entry and then enter the description "stock photography search."
Instead of having to repeat all those steps for the next one, I would like a button/link on the slip (like edit/delete) that says "duplicate timeslip". This makes a new entry for me identical to the first. Then all I do is change the project to Proj. #2 for the next one.
Does that make more sense?
Thanks!
