Corporation Tax Rate of 22% in 2009 incorrect?.
Freeagent is currently calculating my corporation tax using a rate of 22% in 2009 and has apportioned the tax on my profit as such.
The chancellor in his 2008 pre budget report said the increase from 21 per cent to 22 per cent from April 2009 has been deferred until April 2010.
So why does Freeagent currently use the rate of 22% in 2009?

Inappropriate?Andy,
Thanks for pointing that out. We felt there was no rush to make that change since we didn't think anyone was invoicing anything in April 2009 yet!
That change will make it into our next update, though.

Inappropriate?Hi Ed,
thanks for your reply. I am not invoicing in 2009 yet. The incorrect rate seems to be affecting my current corporation tax liability right now and so Freeagent is telling me that I owe more CT than I really do. For that reason I would have thought it important to revise the rate asap if it affects the CT calculation?
I’m anxious

Inappropriate?Andy,
Ah yes, that'll be us being wrong, then.
We're releasing an update tonight which will correct that.
I’m hoping this eases your anxiety

Inappropriate?Hi Andy,
Just to let you - and all our other users - know that we have now updated the FreeAgent corporation tax rate for 2010/11 to reflect that it's been held at 21% for another year.
Kind regards,
Emily
