Do I need to put in my tax code?
HI there,
Sorry if this has been asked before! I'm trying out FreeAgent, so just getting to grips with it - like what I see far a lot.
Last financial year I had a ltd company, now I'm a sole trader. How do I/do I need to put in my newly-acquired tax code from IR?

Inappropriate?Adam, now you're self employed you're not taxed under PAYE so you don't have a tax code.
You still have your personal allowances though and FreeAgent works out your tax having taken into account your allowances.

Stuart, thanks for your prompt reply. I guess I need to get used to my new regime of not having a limited company (and accountant!). Strange that the IR have sent me a tax code - I'll have to get my coding notice out and have another look at it!
