Editing an explanation type causes it to recount itself
sorry, i can't work out how to summarise this as a logical bug...
steps to reproduce:
change an existing bank account explanation type from 'Dividend' to 'Net salary and bonuses'
it saves the new explanation type, but causes the amount of the transaction to be doubled, with the correct amount applied to the explanation, and the same amount again still left unexplained.
deleting the explanation completely and recreating it will fix it.
(actually, it can be recreated using explanation types other than the ones mentioned above.)

Inappropriate? Also occurs when adding a receipt number to an existing bank account entry. I edited receipt numbers before (though not since July) so it appears to be a bug introduced since then

Inappropriate? After editing (some, doesn't seem to happen for all) an explanation or deleting an explanation due to the above bug, you're brought back to the lastest month's detail rather than where you were ... e.g. I have been entering and editing historical statements. When editing an explanation in the March 2008 and clicking on save changes, I am brought back to Aug 2008 detail ( whih is my latest statement detail).
It's not a problem as such , just an annoyance (particularly if you're learning the correct procedures of explanations at the same time and being a klutz at it!)
I’m finding this niggling.

Inappropriate?Toby, Simon, redZola,
Thanks for the bug reports - we're working to fix these in time for our new software release 'Chinon' later this week...

Inappropriate? When adding my explanation the server *appeared* to time out so i refreshed the page a couple of times after which I discovered the explanation had been entered 3 times. I can't delete the transaction as there are explanations attached..
I’m baffled

Hi Tom,
Please can you email support at freeagentcentral.com with details of the explanation and we'll resolve it for you. -
Inappropriate? Thanks Olly. I think I've sent 3 requests to your support address and nothing's happened as yet.
I’m a bit pissed

Tom,
We haven't received any requests from you. Please can you resend them directly to olly at freeagentcentral.com? -
Hi Tom,
Email received thanks. Looks like you originally sent them to support at freeagentcentral.co.uk rather than .com. -
Inappropriate? Thanks Olly. The UK address worked in the past and still fails the bounce test.
I’m silly
