entering timesheet - project changes from timeslip list to timeslip entry
When on the timesheet list view I chose a project I clicked on the add timesheet for day xxx and the project has changed.
Also can the current project I am entering timesheets for stay the same until I change it?
Thanks guys,
Nigel

Inappropriate?OK, I see what is going on now - the ddlb (drop down list box) at the top is for the entry of a weekly sheet and the other is from the daily entry but the point remains that for the time entry I am always having to choose the same items over and over for each entry. Fro some parts of FAC the last entries are remembered. Could you please also do this for timesheets?
Thanks guys,
Nigel
I’m annoyed

Inappropriate?Nigel - thanks for the feedback. That should be a small change which we'll be able to get into tomorrow's release.

this solves the problem

Inappropriate?Nigel - more generally:
We only require you to select the project prior to entering the weekly timesheet so we can pre-populate the hours fields with 'full days' in accordance with your project.
Would you rather just had a form where you could select any project and task? - maybe we could indicate what a full day means in terms of hours but not try to be too clever...
We're also looking at completely reworking our timesheets - or at least providing some other ways of entering them. Any suggestions based on the way you work? -
Inappropriate?Hmm.. not off the top of my head. The current form works well for me. I like being able to add a week at a time as that is a great time saver but I would just like the task and employee to be remembered. (that saves a few clicks per sheet)
It would be nice to have some sort of import from an external source like a csv or xml. I would possibly use that.
Cheers,

So do you enter timeslips for other employees? - at the moment we assume each user does it for him/herself and the last personal timeslip is what we base the new one on...
As for external feeds - on the cards is accepting iCal feeds of timeslip data, so you can manage your time tracking on iCal (published to .mac) or Google Calendar and have the time automatically appear in FreeAgent.
Lots to think about there - what project/task (or do we have a feed per user/project combo?). Do we need to be able to edit these from FreeAgent (add a comment, for example) or delete them?
Would that be handy?
