Estimates: discount as percentage
Would be nice to add a discount percentage (instead of negative amount).
Writing this, also wondering how it works with invoices; however, that can be checked ;)

Inappropriate? You can explicitly add a discount as a percentage when you create/edit an invoice. With estimates you can't do this.
Our of interest why would you want to explicitly add a percentage discount to an estimate -- why wouldn't you just lower the estimate price by that amount?
Either way the work around is to add a negative estimate item with no unit, using the description to indicate the discount. -
Inappropriate?Hi Olly,
It's not a big issue ;)
But usually I give a discount percentage for starting companies (that is: during their first year of existence). This has to do with the fact that I focus on freelancers and small -starting- companies. Not the big fishes, ha ha!
A negative item with a fixed amount will do, but a percentage would be nice ;)
I’m fine

Inappropriate?I also would like to include a percentage discount in estimates. Yes, I can add a negative amount, or just lower the unit cost of each item, but it's not the ideal behaviour.
My use case is that I give a percentage discount to non-profit organisations.
