Expenses against directors loans, cant seem to do it.

Last year I took large amounts of money out of the business as a directors loan. I balanced this by paying back some of it, and by buying equipment for the offices, writing it off as an expense and clearing the directors loan amounts.

This worked fine on GnuCash, but now I want to use freeagent to do the same, and it wont let me! It keeps telling me my accounts are £4,000 out (£2,000 in office equipment, and £2,000 in directors loans) but I know this isnt the case.

Can anyone lend a hand?
