FreeAgent Monthly Subscriptions
Can we start paying our FreeAgent subscription fees by Direct Debit, Standing Order or by bulk-payment for multiple months?
My bank (Lloyds TSB) has fairly heavy bank charges :(
Also, what happens when my card expires?

Inappropriate?Hi Mike,
Right now we only support card payments by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo -- we don't yet have the facility to handle DD or Standing Orders. A single yearly payment option is something we're considering.
There's no reason why you can't pay for your subscription using your own personal debit or credit card, and reclaim this as an out-of-pocket expense each month using FreeAgent. Would this work for you?
You can easily update your card details by clicking on My Account in the top-right of the screen, then clicking on 'change your payment method'. Perhaps this isn't clear enough, actually?
At the start of the month in which your registered card expires, we'll drop you a reminder email. You can then update your payment details with the new card.
If you don't do this and the monthly payment fails (or if it fails for any other reason such as insufficient funds), FreeAgent will send you another reminder email asking you to update your details within 7 days. After that time your account would be suspended until you update your card details.
Hope this helps!
I’m glad you're loving FreeAgent!

Inappropriate? Thanks Olly, good suggestions thanks. Actually, changing the payment method is clear but what wasn't clear was the process for expiry of a card. It is certainly conceivable that one could have a card expire and not receive the email announcements however for me at least, I know to expect emails from you and watch the card expiry date.
Yearly purchase would make a lot of sense. Other service providers such as web hosting companies do this and it allows one to make a reminder (such as iCal) to renew.
Looking forward to future updates.
Mike
