Get back to the contact you just invoiced
Would like to be able to return to a 'Contact's' activity page once you've created a new invoice. To expand: if you view a contact, go to an active project, then edit that project by adding an invoice. Once you have exported your pdf and marked the invoice as sent, you currently have to go back through 'Contacts' to get back to the client. A few extra clicks granted, but feels like the long way around.

We've talked about having a breadcrumb trail so you'd maybe see something like:
Contact Name > Project > Invoice
and each of these would be links allowing you to jump back to the appropriate section.
The issue was:
a) fitting this into the interface so it didn't clutter it too much
b) find the time to do the dev work
so it's still something we're toying with, but no definite word I'm afraid. -
Inappropriate?Well here's an idea for you which would take up no UI space, and hopefully not too much dev time, but would be a good help to navigation, and that is to extend the page title:
In my history (or back button) list, I see:
FreeAgent : Invoices : Show
FreeAgent : Projects : Show
FreeAgent : Contacts : Show
FreeAgent : Invoices : Show
FreeAgent : Projects : Show
FreeAgent : Contacts : Show
FreeAgent : Invoices
FreeAgent : Projects
FreeAgent : Contacts
Which is not a great help as it doesn't differentiate between which client/invoice.
