How can I add reclaimed VAT to flat rate scheme?
I have just set up my accounts with free agent. I registered for VAT on 1st January on the Flat rate scheme and made a couple of purchases prior to that date.
According to the vat return page:
"Your First VAT Return
This return may include a reclaim for expenses which occurred before registration. Open the Help drawer for more info."
However, there are no expenses showing in the list. How do I get these to appear? Or do I have to wait until the return is actually due?

Inappropriate?Jennifer
We've done some more research on this, and it looks like we may be incorrectly restricting the reclaim here. It seems that you can indeed reclaim pre-registration VAT even if you're on the flat rate scheme.
We'll aim to update our VAT calculations as soon as we can to reflect this... -
Inappropriate? Is this going to be implemented as the VAT screen doesn't show my reclaimed VAT on purchases prior to registering (I'm on the flatrate scheme), so my first VAT return is showing incorrect and thus having a knock on effect to all future VAT returns
I’m indifferent
