How do i get involved in a referral scheme?

Yep, I mentioned a referral scheme during my recent video podcast, didn't I?

It's not in place yet, but we're hoping to have referral codes which you can get from your freeagent account by the end of next week.

Here's how it's going to work:

* You will have a referral code displayed on your 'My FreeAgent Account' page.

* Give this to as many friends (or enemies, or whoever) as you like. If they enter that
referral code when they sign up, they will get 10% off all future subscription charges.

* For each referral who has an active (i.e. paying) account, you will also get 10% off. So if you refer 10 people and they all have active accounts, you will not have to pay anything.

* You are only credited up to the value of your actual subscription - you can never have a negative subs payment - so if you were referred yourself you'd only need to refer 9 others to ride free.

That being said, if you have a serious number of referrals then get in touch and you can join our 'Evangelists' team (not to be confused with our 'Evangelista' Team which has other motives). We'll pass referral credits in excess of current subs back to our Evangelists in cold, hard cash! We're currently discussing the threshold for this: it's likely to be 50 referrals.

In the meantime, just keep a record of who you've referred (and no - you and your mates can't recursively refer each other ;->) and we'll ensure it's all reflected in the system when it goes live.
