Inappropriate?Hi Michelle,
When you enter the payment, explain it as "Money Paid to User", then under "Choose who was paid, and why" choose the employee's name from the drop-down menu and give the reason as "Net Salary and Bonuses".

Inappropriate?This is not working for me. I may be doing this wrong but when I make a payment I do not get the options that you state in your reply. The drop down does not include money paid to user!!!! Can you explain why this may be happening?

It's under the "Type" drop-down, where you would usually choose "Payment" that you need to choose "Money Paid to User". It'll be the second or third option on the list.

Here lies the problem.
I am in Banking, I click add transaction, I click type and the options available to me here are Payment, Bill Payment, Credit Note Refund, Purchase of Capital Asset and then the list for the money in! Is it possible that I may have a restriction on what I can do here???? I was unable to set up the Payroll recently and I was given full permission by my employer to do this, but not sure what to do here?

It does indeed sound like your access is restricted.
You'll need to ask your employer to extend your user permissions so that you can access Money Paid to User.

My employer tried to do this on his login and he's the owner of the account! Can it be that we do not have the set up right? He has checked that I have full permissions and as far as he's aware I do. I would appreciate if you could look into this for me as I have spent an awful long time with this, this morning.

If you would, please could you or your employer set me up as an accountant user, using e-mail emily[at]freeagentcentral[dot]com, with full user permission, and then e-mail me with a note of the URL and my password.
I think this will make it quicker for me to see what's wrong.

Further to this, could I ask what kind of a bank account you're trying to make the payment from, please? Is it a personal account or a business account?
If it's a personal account, you won't be able to see the Money Paid to User option. You'd need to re-categorise the bank account as a business account before you can see Money Paid to User.
