Is it just me, or is FAC Very Slow today?
response times to entering or modifying transactions are in excess of 20 seconds at times.
No other internet sessions seem to be affected

We have been experiencing a much larger load on the service lately which will explain some performance reduction. We're actually migrating to a new server infrastructure in a week or so which should result in a big improvement of performance. We're also constantly looking to improve the efficiency of certain areas of FreeAgent which we know are not as optimal as they could be.

Yes, we have migrated to a new server infrastructure. We closely monitor performance of FreeAgent and we've found that response times have dropped across the application, so performance has certainly been improved. Perhaps more significantly, we can now handle a much larger number of users and we've put in place the necessary structure such that we can easily scale to meet the needs of our growing customer base.
There are, however, as I mentioned above, still certain areas of the application which need to be developed to improve performance which a server upgrade was never going to have a significant impact on, and it's our intention to work on these incrementally in the coming months.
