If you want to be 100% correct with any expense when you are reclaiming VAT you should have a "VAT invoice". If there's VAT on the expense it will be shown on the invoice. -
Inappropriate?You are right of course. I set up a direct debit some time ago and haven't looked at the paperwork recently.
