Paying bills
Any chance of making Bills and Banking more joined up like it is with invoices? Within an invoice entry I can click 'Add Payment' and it is all joined up with the bank account. If I set up a bill and then pay it I have to jump between bills and banking. Having a 'Pay bill' button would really help.

Inappropriate?Hi Richard
This is a neat idea. We have some other work we'd like to do around Bills, so we'll be sure to add this to the list, although I can't say when we'll get around to it right now -
Inappropriate?I am new to this software and have the very same problem. Aquired some software for the company and created the Bill but am not sure how to make it "Paid" how do I do that ?

Inappropriate?Bob
To mark a bill as paid you have to explain a bank transaction as Bill Payment. When you do this you'll see a list of unpaid bills from which you can choose the appropriate one. If the transaction amount matches the outstanding bill amount, the bill will automatically be marked as paid. -
I found I needed to write off part of a bill (i.e. not pay the subcontractor all that he had invoiced). There seems no easy way to do this in the the way you can for part received invoices. I had to create a phantom bank payment and then create a dummy bank account entry to reverse it. This worked but is very clunky.
I could not see how to enter a credit note to offset the bill. I made a new ficticious bill with a negative amount but it did not offset the money owed to the supplier and cancel the other bill. Could be imporved I think. S -

Inappropriate?Recurring bills... recurring bills... recurring bills... repeat this simple mantra as a subtle reminder, you know we want it... ;-)
I’m chanting...
