PayPal account howto
Is there a howto anywhere explaining how best to set up a PayPal account within FreeAgent then upload transactions?
I've tried uploading the three different CSV options, but nothing is added to my account despite transactions existing in the CSV file. The QIF file uploads ok, but then the entries created in FreeAgent don't seem to tally with what's shown in PayPal.

Just thought I'd follow up on here now that we've discovered what was going on.
The problem was that downloads from a Personal Paypal account have a different format (less fields) than Premier or Business Paypal accounts. FreeAgent needs these extra fields, so the solution was to upgrading from Personal to Premier, which is free to do.
I’m pleased we finally got to the bottom of this

Inappropriate?Organic,
"It's not you, it's me"
We're looking into a problem we're having with our Paypal statement handling at the moment. Sorry about this. Normal, entirely intuitive service will be resumed as soon as possible...

Inappropriate?ok, thanks for looking. I'm only really wanting to download paypal payments in order to mark invoices as paid. I also make purchases with the account, but these are already explained within another account. Should I use the option to just download payments?

Inappropriate?Organic,
We've just addressed an issue with the Paypal CSV upload. If you select Comma Delimited - Balance Affecting Payments as the file type in the download screen, that should give you the file you want and this should upload without a problem.
Let us know how you get on

Inappropriate?Olly - I'm still not having much luck. I downloaded the file you described for the entire history of my account. The file looks fine, but when I upload it I get a yellow error message: "The format of that CSV file has not been recognised"

Could you possibly send the file over to me, olly at freeagentcentral dot com, and we'll sort it once and for all!

Inappropriate?I have a business account and have tried this over and over again and continue to get that the format is not accepted by FreeCentralAgent. Any other suggestios?

Are you exporting using the Comma Separated Values - Balance Affecting Payments option? This is the required format. If you're still having trouble can you email me the file to olly at freeagentcentral dot com and we'll take a look.
I’m confident
