Print Style Sheets Would Be Nice
It'd be great if you could spend a bit of time on some print css files, so that when we print from FAC, it's nicely formatted...

Inappropriate?Hi Phil,
We do have a basic print style sheet at the minute which strips out irrelevant headers/footer/navigation etc.
In the future we'd like to add the option of adding pdf support for many sections of the application, like we currently do with invoices and timesheet reports.
Is there anything specific you'd like to see?
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Hi Roan
Yeah, I noticed that. I guess what I'd love to see would be a more "accountant friendly" print out. And by that, I just mean a few tweaks here and there to give a more polished feel.
Certainly what you have for now is adequate, but when the rest of the app sparkles so much, I guess I just expected that, when I printed things out, they'd also shine! ;o)

Inappropriate?ah, I see what you mean now. I think the real answer to this is better report generation to create pdfs instead of print css, and it's very much something we'd like to do.
It's just trying to find the time...
I’m wishing there were more hours in the day

Inappropriate?Yeah, I agree. There's only so much you can do in print css, so PDF is probably the answer. A good example of this is the OS X app Cha-Ching by Midnight Apps: the printed reports from the app are lovely.

Inappropriate? But both can go hand in hand — I use 'Prince' to generate beautiful PDFs from HTML+CSS. See http://www.princexml.com. Stylesheets can go a long way.
In the short term, I'd like to see the dropdowns stripped out of the bank statements, headings made clearer, alternate row shading — just looking like something I could file or pass on to others.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate? Thanks for the ideas CM. We'll have a think about those short term solutions.
