Inappropriate?Hi Plumber,
When you click on "New Invoice" the next screen has a box called "Comments" - anything you type here appears on the invoice under the "other Information" heading at the bottom right of the invoice.
FAC remembers the text entered in this field from one invoice to the next so if you enter your T's and C's here they will be reused on the next invoice you generate (you can still change it if you want).
There's also a box to enter override payment terms which appear under the invoice number (normally taken from project details) - useful if you want to override the default "Payment Terms: 28 days" to "Pay up... or else!" =)
By the way, if you have a draft invoice, you can go back and change these by clicking the little "Edit" link at top right of invoice.
As for customisation - you can upload your company logo and this will be used by all the existing templates.
If you want to design a complete invoice template from scratch, then you need to talk nicely to one of the FAC team for them to publish a sample template showing all the required tags etc - but you better be good with HTML, CSS etc
I’m not really suggesting you threaten your clients

Inappropriate? Thanks for the prompt response, i need about 2 lines space. the text is all at the bottom right and doesnt give enough space. i would either like a t and c at teh bottom not centred but taking up full width.
probably a few lines long
Could you help with this? -
Inappropriate?not really - i'm just another late night user. You'll have to wait for Ed or one of his team to respond in daylight hours!
@Ed - got me thinking, it might be "nice to have" feature to allow users to upload their own stylesheets for invoices.
I’m poking around CSS files instead of going to bed - what a geek!

Inappropriate?@Plumber
James is absolutely spot on with the comments section -- this is currently the only way to add terms and conditions to the invoice itself. An alternative workaround would be to add the terms and conditions to the email you send with the invoice (only helpful if you are actually emailing it of course). We've had a couple of requests for this sort of thing now so we'll have a discussion at FreeAgent Towers to see how we can best accommodate everyone's requriements.
@James
Users can already design their own invoice templates using custom CSS by downloading our Invoice DevKit from here: http://www.freeagentcentral.com/devel.... Whilst you can't do this through FreeAgent itself (it's not something which the vast majority of users want to do right now), just send us the relevant CSS file and we'll apply it to your account!

Inappropriate?@Olly,
Thanks for the link - you might want to add a nav link from the main developer's page (or make it more prominant if its there - I didn't spot it last night).
But just because I *can* edit a CSS file - it doesn't mean I *want* to. I'm happy with the existing templates.
On the other hand, if plumber (or anyone else!) wants to pay me to customise one for them, I am happy to oblige!!!
I’m always touting for business!
