profit and loss so far overview chart
I'm sure that I didn't used to behave like this, but on the' Profit and Loss for 2009/10 so far' chart displayed on the Overview page - it is including all our salary for the coming year and doesn't ignore the salary that we haven't paid ourselves yet. This is therefore showing us as having a very large loss for our operating profit, which is not the case 'so far' (ie as of this moment in time).
I'm sure that it did used to show the current state of the account 'so far', so you could see where you were as of that moment in time. But now you need to manually calculate the salary that hasn't been issued (our salary figures have been entered until the end of march 2010) and deduct that from the inflated expenses figure to get the real figure.
I'm I just imagining this or has this changed in a recent update to FA?

Inappropriate?Tony,
Sorry for the confusion - yes this was a change introduced recently when we 'upgraded' our accounting engine.
But we've got a lot of feedback like yours that we need to have an option that shows the current 'year-to-date' period like we used to. We're working on a further change which reinstates this option and we'll be testing and then rolling this out in the coming days.
Hope you can bear with us... -
Inappropriate?Hi Tony and all,
Just to update you further to Ed's message, we have now changed the overview screen so that the profit and loss chart shows "current year so far" rather than including all the costs for the accounting year.
There are also options to see "current year so far" in the yearly profit and loss report under Accounting, and options to see the Trial Balance and Balance Sheet as of "now".
Hope you like the changes?
Kind regards,
Emily
