qif transaction amount incorrect
Howdy Folks,
a transaction on my bank statement was incorrect when uploaded. I checked the qif file which states the transaction as -1,000 (a payment from me to another account) yet Freeagent created two transactions: a payment for 1.00 and a receipt for 1.00 on the same date.

Hmmm, that's not right obviously...i wonder if we're not handling the comma properly if there's one there..
Could you do us a favour and send us a copy of that QIF file? Do anonymise the names etc to protect the innocent, but if you could leave the formatting and that particular transaction's value unchanged that would be great.

Also if you could let us know some details of the transaction we can manually fix things up at our end (we don't have access to anyone's accounts but we can do some low-level data stuff).

Could you tell me this problem because of not handling comma properly.?
I got a problem like in Uploading the batch two zeros added to the transaction amount.
For example if transaction amount is 100.00
In batch upload the transaction amount is 10000.00
If amount 250.00
In Upload its 25000.00
This is in rare case, i am not able simulate the problem everytime.
Do you have any suggestion.? -

thanks for the response. I have posted an extract from the qif file below and changed the names to protect... well you know.
This was interpreted as a debit for $1 and a credit for $1. I'm assuming it's the comma however other commas didn't trip up so maybe it's the comma followed by the three zeros. Anyway, have fun!
