Same contact email for different organisations?

I deal with a couple of loosely associated Limited companies that share an accounts department. So I want to invoice the companies seperately but want the Contact name and email address for each company to be the same.

However the application won't let me do that, it complains the email address already exists and must be unique when I add the second company with the same email address.

It's easy to work around by typing in the email manually when I send it out but it would be nice not to have to do that.
 
indifferent I’m surprised it's not possible.
