vat interval change
When I initially registered on the flat rate VAT scheme my return dates didn't tie up with my company year end - so my accountant requested a 'stagger' change, meaning the return dates were changed.
Does Free Agent have any capability to account for this? If I change the registration date it affects historic transactions as well as future...

Inappropriate?Steve,
We don't currently support that - but we're planning to allow you to manually change the VAT period end dates which will solve your problem.
I'm afraid I can't give you a precise date for when we'll implement that, but do stay tuned to our updates... -
Inappropriate?Hi Ed,
Thanks for replying - if you do require beta testers for this functionality please do let me know as it would be a massive time saver for me over calculating the VAT manually...
Thanks,
Steve
I’m confident

Hi Ed,
realise it's been a few months now - any news of when this new functionality is likely to be built / released?
Thanks,
Steve -
Inappropriate?Steve,
We have a release going out in 2 weeks or so. The ability to manually adjust the VAT period dates will be in the one following that, so some 4-5 weeks later.
Thanks for bearing with us... -
Thanks Ed,
Looking forward to it. If you require testers at any stage just let me know.
Thanks,
Steve -
Inappropriate?Hi there - we're also in the same boat. I've fiddled the dates to start with as we're going into freeagent post-stagger but being able to add in the correct VAT dates from the word go would be great!
I’m anxious

Inappropriate?Hi Ed,
Did this functionality ever go any further?
Been a fair few releases since you hinted it might be available?
Thanks,
Steve
I’m sad

Steve,
Sorry to have kept you waiting on this - there have been a fair few things which have had to jump the queue. It's still very much on our list, and I can assure you we _will_ get round to making this more flexible. -
Inappropriate?Hi Ed,
Thanks for replying.
Any rough idea on a new timescale for this to be in a release?
S
I’m undecided
