What's the "Asset Life" of a Capital Asset?
When I create a new "Purchase of Capital Asset", what should I be specifying as the "Asset Life"?
I'm back-adding historical capital assets including a laptop and office furniture, maybe wifi base station... initial office setup costs.

One for your accountant (if you have one!) - but it's really just the life you expect to get out of that piece of equipment. Here at FAC we use 3 years for laptops etc, and 7 years for office furniture.
It's kind of up to you - as long as it's reasonable, it should be good enough for anyone poking their nose in...
