You can never make an accountant happy!
Having pressed for journal entries in FreeAgent I have noticed that it is possible to enter journal entries which do not balance ie the debits don't equal the credits. This means the trial balance does not balance and the P&l and/or the balance sheet will be wrong.
Would it be possible to include a warning that the journals do not balance and/or the trail balance is out of balance.

Inappropriate?Stuart - your happiness is very high on our priorities!
Journal Entries are supposed to be very much an 'Advanced' function, and we feel it's better to give maximum flexibility here, rather than restricting you to 'only double-entry' transactions.
But we are going to add a new warning to the page - when the journals are out of balance, a box with 'Out of Balance' will appear and creating a journal entry will by default have the right values in to balance things out.
I’m happy when our users are happy. Yes, really.
