I have read a few threads within these walls discussing the possibility of tracking 'unbillable' hours - I too would have a use for such a feature. I have entered this seperately as my use for such a feature is slightly different to others posted.

I offer my clients a fixed price monthly maintenance service, the cost attached is reviewed on a three monthly basis and calculated by the hours spent on that customer over that period. I have a project setup for each monthly account and would like to add timesheets to track this data in one central location. I also thought I might be able to add a line to the monthly invoice that showed the time used in that month so the client could track it themselves (good transparency too!).

This would, in my mind best be served by having an unbillable hours option so that it doesn't leave unbilled time floating about etc. It would also mean I could set a fixed rate for anything not covered by the clients contract and invoice it with minimal intervention.

It would in addition address a number of the issues raised by others requesting unbillable options...
