Have a look at http://help.github.com/forking/ and http://github.com/guides/keeping-a-gi... :) – infernix, on January 21, 2010 23:25

Has anyone toyed with the idea of adding a Java scanner applet to the actual pages with something like greasemonkey? E.g. you're already on the page where you want to attach something to, so the ID is known, and greasemonkey just adds some code to the source that'll allow you to start the java applet (or ideally just clicking one button). Will need some changes somewhere to actually upload the result of course, but there's libs available (for example here: http://www.mms-computing.co.uk/) so it should be possible in theory.

Thanks for that! I'll fix that sometime this weekend, will update here when it's done.

I don't really care, the logo was more of an afterthought anyway :) Feel free to do what you want with it; create a new one or change its colors if that matches better.
But I don't believe there's a way to pull the company logo from the API, so I doubt we can make that work.
Really, just go with your gut feeling on the design, I'm sure you'll do a lot better than I ever will :)

Great! Looks a lot better than I came up with! I'm just not a GUI kind of guy, really. I use a tiling tabbed window manager (ion3) so go figure :)
I'm happy to merge your stuff once it's to your liking. I'd really dig it if you can make it in such a way that it will still fit mobile phone browsers without zooming or scrolling; Android is all I care about but I'm sure there's iphone users around the corner!

I don't need my accountant to see my contacts, my work estimates, projects & tasks and timetracking.
I do need my accountant to see my invoices, bills, expenses, banking, VAT and of course the Accounting stuff.
I would also like the accountant to be able to do "Advanced accounting", whatever that is :) It's enabled when you set permissions to Full, which is what I have now for my accountant.

FATMAN - FreeAgent Time Manager, 1.0 release
Over the past few weeks I've been developing a simplistic punch clock/attendance recorder in PHP that makes use of the FreeAgent API. With it, you can clock your hours into tasks as you go, instead of having to fill in timesheets at the end of the day or week. It's far from beautiful but it does the job. It's BSD licensed so you can do whatever you want with it.
You can try it at https://dx.infernix.net/fatman/ or if you're comfortable with hosting web stuff (or just want to make sure I don't do anything shady - I won't, I promise!), the source is hosted at http://github.com/infernix/FATMAN
I'd *love* to get some feedback about this. It's been working well for me and I hope it will help others, at least until functionality like this gets added to the main site. I'm open to new ideas but its main goal is to stay simple because I use it on my Android phone as well.
Once this is finished I'll focus my efforts on a native Android app, but it'll be a while as I'm no rockstar programmer, especially not in Java.
Enjoy!
