Can you make expense claims for business set up costs?Does anyone know if you can claim back as a personal expense advice received before setting up a company? Or could the business claim it as an expense for set up costs?-

This would be a superb addition to FAC, I'd add my interest to this idea no question. We've just had our first set of accounts produced externally (they were impressed by how powerful FAC is) for Companies House at considerable expense, especially for a start-up watching every penny.
Its risky, but if you could get hold of an example of stat accounts, you could probably re-populate from information found in your FAC accounts (I stress 'probably', don't quote me!).
Will keep an eye on this one in the hope that it can creep up the priority list! -

How to account for temporary personal loan to the company?I recently needed to personally transfer some cash into our business current account to cover a potential cashflow blip, which eventually never manifested itself. I now have to account for my transfer in and out, but I'm clueless as to how best to do this. Am I a 'smart user'? Any help greatly appreciated.
