Hi All,

Another question about VAT and mileage I'm afraid.

I spent some time in Norway this year working and as I have a left hand drive car (don't ask) I decided it would be fun to drive their and use it instead of hiring locally (coincidently, this also meant I avoided the toll charges but that's another story).

So my question is, I obviously bought fuel while I was away, which was actually VAT'ed at a higher rate than the UK. Is it therefore OK to reclaim the VAT or does this work in the same way as other foreign expenses - its not worth claiming the VAT unless you have loads because it has to be done locally?

Just a quick question around mileage.

Been going through all my historic accounts taking advantage of the new link but no re-bill features in FAC, this is really great and lets me get an idea of profitability without having all that unbilled stuff on projects.

However, what I have noticed is that the same does not seem to apply to mileage claimed, is this a bug that will be fixed, a known feature or just something to do with the way things need to get accounted for?

In addition, would this also mean that sales tax would be added and I would be liable for a VAT payment?

I would really appreciate and answer to this as for my latest project I am incurring quite a lot of mileage.
